Philosophy:
Students will be given real world assignments involving food and nutrition or interior design, which are necessary for a teenager to become a contributing member to the home. High quality work is expected and students will be given opportunities to redo work until it meets standards specified during instruction. Classroom activities will include reading, research, projects, class and group cooperation, tests/ quizzes. and lab experiences. Students will often work in groups but will be expected to complete individual assignments in relation to their group's work. Many assignments will require students to draw upon skills learned in other areas of study, such as history, math, and science.
